CADA Hall of Fame Award
The CADA Hall of Fame has been established
to honor members of the organization who
have distinguished themselves in service to
their profession through exemplary service
to their students, to their school and to
the CADA organization.
2008 CADA Hall of Fame Award Recipients:
Jim Nyberg; Susan Moerder; Mike White
Jim Nyberg has been an Activities Director and a CADA member for 29
years. For the last 22 years he has been involved with the CADA Camp
steering committee and has directed CADA Leadership camps during his time.
Jim has been on the Area C board and was the Area C Coordinator for 4 years.
Following his time he became the CADA state president in 2002 and was in charge of
the Abra-CADA-bra Convention. He won the Warren Shull Award (High School in
2006) for the State of California while being the Activities Director at Exeter
High School and in Visalia he was Tulare County Teacher of the Year nominee 2006. All
this while being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Susan Moerder began her involvement in student activities in 1985 and was AD until 1995
continuing an activities role as a club and class advisor to present.
In 1995 Susan was named Area G's Outstanding Activity Director for CADA. She has been
a member of CADA for 22 years and on the CASL Steering committee for the past 12 years,
while also on the Area G Council for 20 years. Susan has presented at Area Conferences,
helped with Area Mini-Conferences, as well as presented workshops and Meet The Pros at
the State Convention. Susan has worked CADA/CASL summer leadership camps-both high school
and middle school as a Rotation Speaker and has also worked as an Assistant Director.
Mike White began teaching 19 years ago at James Logan High School. The past 9 years have been
at Lynbrook High School, 4 years as the Activities AP and 5 years as Principal. Mike's CADA
accomplishments have been: 10 year member, 6 years as Assistant Area Coordinator, 5 years
on the CASL board and 4 years involved in the Summer Camp Program, He now serves as the Area
B Coordinator.
