The CADA State Board invites you to the 47th Annual State Convention, "The Spirit of New Orleans ", a four day adventure to explore leadership development and student activities at The Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV Wednesday March 3 through Saturday March 6, 2010.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Check with your principal or district office for access to funds from the following sources: Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) program, Title IV (Drug Free Schools) School Improvement Funds, Title 1 (under the category of Safe and Orderly Environment), Title V (Innovated Programs), Pupil Retention Block Grant, Associated Student Body funds, or school site/district budgets. Some school districts may have to carry over funds in the Discretionary Block Grant that was awarded in late 2006-07 school year.

Apply to speak at the 2010 CADA State Convention, March 3-6, 2010 in Reno, NV. In an effort to maximize time and information, all workshop sessions will be either 30, 40, or 50 minute minutes in length. There will be 10 sessions spread from Wednesday to Saturday, two "Meet the Pros" sessions, with speakers presenting a topic five times for 10 minutes per rotation during the hour long session, and the newest CADA session called "Curriculum Roundtables," which will be leadership development lessons being presented in the "Meet the Pros" format.

Speaker applications are open to CADA members and affiliates who will be attending the 2010 convention.

Compensation is $100 per session. Affiliate members are welcome to apply, but are not compensated unless they are medallion sponsors bronze or above. For more information on speaking, contact Don Shaffer at convention@cada1.org.
